The International Motor Show in Geneva is one of the most famous places to showcase new car models and concepts. Each year, car makers from around the world exhibit their new offerings to the motoring press and consumers.
At this year’s event, Lexus was there to display three vehicles: one new model, the GS F, and two concepts, the LF-SA and the LF-C2. Here is a roundup of those three cars so that you can have a sneak peek at what all the fuss is about!

The “F” is a new trim level that is joining the GS range of premium saloon cars from Lexus. It features a 5.0-litre V8 engine that, surprisingly, does not feature any forced induction. In other words, you won’t spot a turbo or supercharger anywhere under the bonnet!
It boasts an astounding 470 brake horsepower and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. As standard, it comes with 19-inch alloy wheels and torque vectoring. The new Lexus GS F is aimed at those that want a street-legal yet race-ready sports saloon.
You can choose from a plethora of driving modes on the transmission. And even the torque vectoring control has three driving “styles” that adjust the handling to suit. You won’t be able to order a new GS F from your local Inchcape Lexus dealership just yet. That’s because the Japanese car maker has yet to announce when it will be available.
Still, the car and its specifications are impressive enough to make it a model worth waiting for!
The first of two concept cars is the Lexus LF-SA. Last year was the 25th anniversary of the LS 400 saloon. Inspired by this milestone, Lexus set a challenge to its ED2 design studio in Europe. They wanted them to create an “ultra-compact” 2+2 concept car.
As you can see, it’s quite a small yet futuristic-looking vehicle! It’s dimensions are 3,400mm x 1,700mm, with a height of 1,430mm. Lexus say that the car is one for motorists that want to escape the stresses of everyday city driving.
It looks like you will be in your own little bubble if you drive the Lexus LF-SA. As you might expect, the car features an array of luxury and technology that you get as standard across the Lexus model range.
Last, but by no means least, is the Lexus LF-C2 concept car. It’s a grand touring 2+2 roadster concept and was born out of the idea to create a simple yet stylish sports car.
The front end uses an experimental version of the familiar Lexus grille. According to Lexus, the braided mesh design “changes appearance when viewed from different angles and in different light.”
LED headlights finish off the front end design. Walking around the car, you can’t help but notice that the contours and styling of the vehicle are in-keeping with the Lexus idea for a simple roadster design.
If the LF-C2 concept goes into production, you can bet that people will queue up to buy it!
